New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 4 (Face-to-Face)

The NZQF Level 4 Certificate in Health & Wellbeing is a 46-week programme (including 6 holiday weeks) designed to give students both classroom learning and real-world experience. It carries 120 credits and requires around 1,200 total learning hours. Students will attend in-class sessions for 20 hours each week and complete a 400-hour clinical work placement, which will be arranged by the institution.

If you secure a part-time job in healthcare (depending on your visa), those hours may count toward your placement. Once completed, you’ll earn the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Social and Community Services) (Level 4), with specialisations in Dementia Care and Diversional Therapy — setting you up for meaningful roles in the healthcare sector.
